A Home Theater Personal Computers (HTPC) was something I never thought I would have in my home.  It was a device I had always wanted.  After doing some reading on what was required for such a project, I decided to take on the task of building one. I’ve wanted to go into detail on the process I went through to build my HTPC, since last summer, but I haven’t had time until recently.  Anyways, let’s begin with what is an HTPC? I personally see an HTPC as a computer that is built to be a digital video recorder or DVR, but it can also be so much more, it can be a machine in your living room to play games, store your videos, music, and pictures, and I even use my HTPC as a file and print server. Being able to do these things and many more at the touch of your finger tips, from the comfort of your living room, is what compelled me to build my HTPC.
